The Aurora Gateway is the client component that runs as a Linux service on your customers corporate or private network. The gateway acts as the "Middleware" component and allows relaying of alarms securely over HTTPS to AlarmTraq via the AlarmTraq REST API.
The Aurora Gateway is software only and runs on most Linux and Windows systems, making it a reliable and secure replacement for the alarming functions of the Avaya SAL gateways.
The AlarmTraq REST API v2 is a set of HTTP endpoints that help you integrate with AlarmTraq. The API is sold separately as part of the AlarmTraq Secure-Alarming package.
With the new REST API (v2), most AlarmTraq database features and secure-alarming facilities are now easily accessible through HTTPS REST calls. Nearly every feature you already use through the desktop interface of AlarmTraq can now be automated and used with your HTTPS-capable toolchain of choice.
With the new API Key, authentication is now more straightforward and secure than before. Authentication is now as simple as passing your API Key along with your request.
The Aurora Suite of secure alarming products are designed to work seamlessly with AlarmTraq, the leader in Proactive Remote Alarm Monitoring and Management for AVAYA™ Communications Systems. We go beyond alarm monitoring, we take corrective action.
AlarmTraq will not only notify you of alarms it will attempt to remotely diagnose and resolve the problem, even before it becomes service affecting.
The CS1000 Alarming Gateway sends alarm messages to an HTTP Server instance, using an HTTPS (HTTP over SSL) transport protocol. As a result, all communication takes place over a secure SSL link. Alarm messages sent to the HTTP Server and responses received are encrypted, which prevents unauthorized users from seeing any sensitive information exchanged between server and client. The use of SSL is transparent to the SOAP transport of a Web service.
The CS1000 Alarming Gateway runs as a Windows service on a micro-PC, desktop or virtual machine located on the customers site and connects directly to the TTY port on the switch using a standard serial (COM) port or via SNMP trap message. Once installed the service listens on the serial (COM) port for error codes and when detected, compares the data with a predefined list of alarm codes to be ignored (AUD000, TIM000, etc…).
ShoreTel SPLASH provides 24/7/365 proactive alarm monitoring and management services for advanced and emerging ShoreTel architectures. Utilizing a proven delivery methodology based on secure https while delivered within a comanaged framework.
SPLASH runs as a Windows service on ShoreTel Connect Headquarters and distributed voice servers and monitors the event log of ShoreWare services. When a new log entry has been created, SPLASH sends the log entry as an SNMP version 2c trap or over secure https to the destination SNMP manager IP address specified in the Windows Registry (see installation).
